11 days of travel. 56 pages of memories. 117 photos. My Project Life honeymoon album is complete! This is one of my biggest scrapbook endeavors to date and my first Project Life album. I’ve never been big on 12×12 pages (I’m first a cardmaker, so it might be that too much white space intimidates me!) and I knew I wanted to include many photos, so using the Project Life pocket system—specifically, a 6×8 mini album—was a no-brainer for this project. The pre-designed grid pocket pages took out a lot of the guesswork that goes into creating a layout from scratch, so I could focus on what I enjoy most: playing with paper and embellishments! That’s where the Simple Stories collection comes in. I actually think I let out an excited gasp when I saw the Good Day Sunshine collection online a few months ago. I knew the bright, beachy colors, woodgrain accents and handwritten font were perfect for documenting the Florida Keys! I also used the Summer Paradise collection by Simple Stories and a “best of” Amy Tangerine paper pack from Michaels, along with some other stamps and stickers.
