Project Life Honeymoon Album

Project Life Honeymoon Album

11 days of travel. 56 pages of memories. 117 photos. My Project Life honeymoon album is complete! This is one of my biggest scrapbook endeavors to date and my first Project Life album. I’ve never been big on 12×12 pages (I’m first a cardmaker, so it might be that too much white space intimidates me!) and I knew I wanted to include many photos, so using the Project Life pocket system—specifically, a 6×8 mini album—was a no-brainer for this project. The pre-designed grid pocket pages took out a lot of the guesswork that goes into creating a layout from scratch, so I could focus on what I enjoy most: playing with paper and embellishments! Cards and Insta-Squares. For this longer album, marking the date was a consistent start to each new “chapter.” I love layering die-cuts and word stickers to make my own embellished journaling cards. Island Mini Album

Island Mini Album

One of the things I love most about scrapbooking is that collecting and documenting the photos brings you back to everything you felt when each photo was taken. And when you capture that moment in an album, you can revisit those memories again and again. That is the experience for me with the mini album I’m sharing with you today. Visiting Fort Jefferson at the Dry Tortugas by seaplane was an amazing experience I’ll always treasure. The anticipation as the plane took off. The awe-inspiring vast ocean. The mystery of a deserted island. The sense of calm as gentle morning waves crash around you. It’s all here, captured in 4×6 iPhone-photo glory. Come take a peek inside, and fly away with me to this beautiful island!
